To promote reflective practice and its benefits in clinical teaching and patient outcomes in third and fourth year student rotations.

You will be able to download a CME Course certificate after successfully completing the post-test with a passing score (70%).

Learning Objectives

At the end of the educational activity, the learner will be able to:

  1. Recognize reflective practice as an important contribution to clinical teaching.
  2. Examine the integration of reflective practice in the learning environment.
  3. Identify at least three reflective teaching strategies to use during clinical rotations.
  4. Describe the role of the Teaching Perspectives Inventory (TPI) in understanding views on instructional goals.
  5. Examine benefits of reflective practice in improving patient outcomes.
  6. Identify medical library resources important in finding additional reflective practice information.
